Spiritual Dreams: How to Connect with Angels While You Sleep
Our dreams are more than just a replay of our mind’s experiences and its ability to process the day. It’s also an opportunity to refocus our energies and connect with higher powers that can help to guide and support our decisions.
Though many of us connect with Angels during the waking hours, you can also communicate with them while you sleep. In fact, many claim that Angel messages are better received while you dream because there are no other distractions vying for your attention.
Stress and fear are major barriers in Angel communication, but these feelings are put to rest…while you rest.
Are you ready to invite Angels into your dreams? But first, let’s look at the building blocks of spiritual dreams and how you can open your mind to receive their messages.
How do Angels appear in dreams?
When Angels connect with us in dreams, they can take many forms. Sometimes they take the form of a person, such as a family member, friend or even a complete stranger. They can assume the role of a healer, teacher or guide that can help you process your thoughts and make new discoveries. And other times, they may take on an animal form.
When you wake, you may have a complete recollection of your Angel experience, or you may have no memory whatsoever. Rest assured, even if you don’t remember the encounter, its impact still resides deep inside you. In these cases, you may not remember the specifics, but you will continue to feel the emotions they stirred within you.
Of the dreams you can recall, certain elements may stand out more vividly than others. For example, bright bursts of color against an otherwise bland setting could be significant. Certain shapes or objects may be more memorable than others.
These items stand out for a reason. They hold pieces of important guidance from your Angels. Many common dream symbols have been studied in detail, so do a little research into the items that stand out to you to decipher your Angel’s message.
Can’t figure out the meaning? Take a step back and look at it through a different vantage point. Recently I did an Angel reading for a client. I keep hearing the song by Journey, “When the Lights Go Down in the City”, accompanied by images of dusk. I asked my client if that song held any significance. She answered no. But when I revisited that image the Angels sent me, I realized that my client was being visited by loved ones in spirit at night…when the lights went down.
So, if a meaning doesn’t immediately jump out at you. Take a step back and relook at everything with fresh eyes.
Angels may appear in your dreams at any time, but you can also invite them in to communicate with you.
Here’s how:
Set your intentions
Be specific in what you need from your Angels during your dream conversations. Before going to bed, ask your Angels to visit you during your dreams and to remember key details that can help you move forward. This is especially important if you struggle to recall your dreams when you wake.
Ask your question or state your problem that you need help solving– no intention is off limits.
Remember that Angels may visit you over a series of nights. Be consistent with your invitations – they will manifest themselves at precisely the right moments (aka Divine timing).
Amplify your dreamstate with crystals
Crystals are beloved by money. And with good reason. Each has properties that can help with different aspects of your life. Many people sleep with crystals under their pillow or beside their bed to promote better sleep and improve the quality (and intensity!) of your dreams. Even though you’re resting, your mind can benefit from the powerful energy stored in your crystals.
Bird’s eye jasper is believed to help you improve your dream recall, especially when your dreams are visions of the future. Blue kyanite, amethyst and iolite are also powerful choices for creating a dreamscape conducive to Angel visitors.
Crystals like selenite, angelite and celestite are beacons for angels. These crystals invite Angel visitor by drawing light and energy from the spiritual world into our physical world.
Meditate before bed
Before you go to bed, take a few moments to meditate on your intentions and cleanse your mind and body from the day’s stress and clutter. It’s important to free your mind from negativity, noise and crowdedness, so that you can better focus on your request and the messages you’re about to receive.
Meditation techniques can take many forms, but ultimately, it’s about promoting relaxation and transforming yourself into a state that’s ready to receive. Try doing some gentle stretching or yoga poses, take a warm lavender bath or practice release techniques to help you fall asleep faster.
Take note of your messages
Many of us are prone to forgetting our dreams from the moment we open our eyes. There’s a very small window where we maintain clarity into our nightly visions, and that gap becomes shorter as we enter into our consciousness.
Keep a journal by your bed to jot down anything that stands out to you. Don’t worry about creating a story or making sense out of it in that moment. Once your most important details are on paper, you can begin to dissect them, one by one, to find meaning from your Angels.
Practice gratitude
Though we may not always receive the answers we were hoping for or cannot make sense of the message our Angels sent us, we should always be grateful for the opportunity to connect with the spiritual world.
Connecting with the Angels is a true gift. One that’s meant to help us achieve a higher sense of self and purpose.
The more you practice gratitude, the more that positive energy will build around you. This energy is like a magnet for Angels. And it’s essential in inviting our Angel guests to return to our dreams night after night.
